A convicted sex offender has been released into the Stevens Point area.
Mark McPhan, 25, was convicted of third degree sexual assault in 2019 in Portage County. He has served his sentence imposed on him and was released on April 27.
“In regards to Mark McPhan’s sex offense in 2018, he sexually assaulted an adult female stranger who was intoxicated, by having intercourse with her,” a Stevens Point release stated.
“Upon release from prison, Mark McPhan will be living 1504 Water St., Stevens Point, WI. He will be placed on supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC), and monitored by Sex Offender Agent Specialists with the Division of Community Corrections, in Portage County. Mark McPhan is subject to discretionary GPS monitoring.
“Mark McPhan has additional conditions, but not limited to; not have any unsupervised contact with minors; not to consume drugs. Mark McPhan is to comply with standard sex offender rules and to cooperate with electronic monitoring, including complying with all requirements and registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry.”
