Boys and Girls Club reaches goal
Portage County organization raises $100,000

The Boys and Girls Club of Portage County created a campaign to replace Taste of Wine and Cheese funding this year.
The campaign – “We’re Not Wine-ing…But We Still Need Your Cheese”— spanned a couple of weeks in April.
The club recently announced they have reached their goal of raising $100,000 for the campaign. With this announcement came a celebration, which included executive director, Kevin Quevillon, dressing in a mouse costume, rolling a wheel of cheese across a finish line to mark the end of the successful campaign. As he crossed the finish line, confetti flew and club members, staff, and board of directors ate cheese curds.
“We are thrilled to have reached our goal. We have seen an increase in the needs of children due to the pandemic, and we are fortunate to have a strong, generous community ready to help our youth,” Quevillon said.
