Arts Walk returns for 2021

STEVENS POINT – One of the first returning summer events took to Main Street on May 14. Arts Walk was back in 2021, giving locals a chance to get out of the house and see area artists at work.
The event saw roughly 25 artists setting up shop downtown, many putting on live demos to showcase their skills, alongside offering works for sale. Everything from handmade jewelry to modernist spray-paint art was on display.
“I was so busy from the beginning that I recorded a video that I couldn’t even put up online,” said local artist Stephon Kibba Freeman on social media just hours after the event.
Mayor Mike Wiza saw the event as a way to get residents outdoors and return to some sense of “normalcy.”
