Applications open for Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

PORTAGE COUNTY – The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) offers eligible people one set of vouchers to buy locally grown fresh produce at approved local farmers markets or road stands. The 2021 vouchers are valid June 1 – Oct. 31 and are available on a first-come basis.
You are eligible to request a SFMNP voucher application if you: are age 60 or older or a Native American age 55 or older; live in Portage County; and your household income is at or below: family of one, monthly income of $1,986 or family of two, monthly income of $2,686.
The Aging & Disability Resource Center’s (ADRC) Nutrition Program has a limited supply of vouchers available on a first come, first-served basis. To request a voucher and register call 715-346-1401.
“If eligible and unable come in person, when you call please ask about having a designated authorized representative or proxy pick up the vouchers for you,” an ADRC release stated.
The SFMNP Voucher distribution requires registration. Upon signing up for the SFMNP Voucher you will be registered for a specific curbside pick-up time at the Lincoln Center. If you have any questions about the SFMNP, contact the ADRC at 715-346-1401 or 1-866-920-2525.
