STEVENS POINT – Jamie Nowinski is the new Pacelli Catholic Schools (PCS) elementary school principal.
Nowinski will serve as principal of both Pacelli Catholic Elementary School-St. Bronislava (PCES-St. Bron’s) in Plover and Pacelli Catholic Elementary School-St. Stephen (PCES-St. Steve’s) in Stevens Point.
Nowinski replaces Dr. Greg Kaster who assumed the role last year.
Nowinski is a veteran educator who taught junior high school English, language arts, and reading for 18 years throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago at St. Jerome Catholic School, Incarnation Catholic School, and St. Alexander School. Her most recent role was serving as principal of St. Patricia School in Hickory Hills, IL, for the past six years, where she led efforts to expand their enrollment by over 17 percent.
Nowinski earned her bachelors degree in elementary education from Governors State University in University Park, IL, and her masters degree in educational leadership with a Type 75 Certification from Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL. She is also an Archdiocese of Chicago Leadership Academy graduate.
Nowinski will be relocating to the Stevens Point area this summer with her husband of 37 years, Joe. Together they have two children and two grandchildren.
“I am passionate about leading in an atmosphere where faith and creative teaching creates a community of active learners,” said Nowinski. “I strive to encourage others to reach their highest capabilities and accomplish their goals.”
Nowinski’s role will be effective July 1.
