City band to present second concert of the season

STEVENS POINT — The Stevens Point City Band will present its second concert of the summer season on June 16 at 7 p.m. in the Pfiffner Pioneer Park band shell along the Wisconsin River.

“The Anatomy of a Concert” will be the theme as the band, under the direction of Kathryn Kawleski, plays musical selections highlighting various parts of the body. Featured numbers will include The Wizard of Oz, Put Your Hand in the Hand, March of the Two Left Feet, the Best of Journey, Summer of ’69 – the Music of Woodstock, Tennessee Salute, and the Hokey-Pokey.

Michele’s Restaurant and Catering of Stevens Point will provide food for purchase before and during the concert. Concerts are free and held Wednesday evenings through Aug. 4. Audience members should bring chairs or blankets for seating.
