Police in search of suspect after search warrent leads to $30,000 in drugs

STEVENS POINT – At approximately 5:00 a.m. on June 17, a search warrant was executed at 3257 Church St. in the City of Stevens Point. During the search of the house, there was 180 grams of drugs located consisting of cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. This is a very large amount of drugs that has been removed from the streets and it carries a street value of approximately $30,000.
Charges are being requested with the District Attorney’s office on Brandon V. Smith, M/B;
Date of Birth: 9-12-1988, for the following felony offenses (photo attached from DOC 2017):
• Possession with intent to deliver cocaine
• Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl
• Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine
This large amount of narcotics was seized thanks to the help of the Stevens Point/Plover; SWAT Team; Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force; Stevens Point Police Department; Portage; County Sheriff’s Office K-9; and Stevens Point Fire Department.
This case continues to be on-going in its investigation.
