STEVENS POINT – UW-Stevens Point head volleyball coach Lyndsay Kooi announced the addition of Mallory Nickelson to her staff. Nickelson will serve as an assistant coach for the Pointers after completing a playing career at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
“I am beyond excited to be a Pointer,” Nickelson said. “The competitive, supportive and family-like culture within the volleyball program is unmatched. I can’t wait to help Coach Kooi bring the volleyball program to new heights.”
Nickelson earned second-team all-conference honors in 2019 and was a team captain in 2020-21. She also earned Academic All-CCAC honors in 2018 and 2019.
Nickelson was a four-year recipient of the Athletic and Presidential Scholarships and in 2021 received the Roosevelt University Presidential Award for Social Justice.
