For the City Times
Plover – Today McCain Foods, a leading supplier of frozen potato and appetizer food products across the country, announced plans to hire approximately 100 full-time employees at its Plover Appetizers processing facility as the plant moves to a 24/7 production operation. To fill these openings, McCain Foods will hold several virtual and in-person open hiring events over the next two months, including its first open hire event on August 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at its facility located at 3975 Tall Pine Drive, Plove.

During the hiring event, prospective employees can apply for employment in person, interview for the position, tour the plant as well as learn about McCain Foods’ commitment to offering employees safe careers built on development and growth within the company. McCain Foods offers full benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance as well as 401(k) retirement plans, health savings accounts, adoption assistance, infertility assistance, education reimbursement assistance, paid maternity and paternity leave. Jobs will be offered to some prospective employees on the spot while other jobs may be offered within 24 hours.

“McCain Foods has a rich history of producing high quality appetizers for the entire country right here in the town of Plover, and this is undoubtedly due to the amazing local talent that we’ve been able to hire and bring into our plant,” said Kurt Thomas, Plant Manager, McCain Foods Plover Appetizers. “Our recent move to a 24/7 operation was made to keep up with an increased demand for products from our plant. Over the next several weeks, we’re looking to hire more local, and talented, residents to join our McCain family here in Plover to support us during this exciting time as our production grows.”

All attendees are required to follow McCain Foods’ COVID-19 protocols to ensure the health and wellness of those in attendance. Masks will be required and prospective employees will be checked in at the front of the event to participate in a COVID-19 screening questionnaire and temperature check.

McCain Foods will also be hosting a second in-person open hire event on Tuesday, September 14 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at its facility. Prospective employees can learn more about job opportunities at McCain Foods’ Plover Appetizers processing facility at https://www.mccain.com/careers.
