CoVantage Plans New Branch in Plover

For the City Times
PORTAGE COUNTY – According to Brett Lee, CoVantage Credit Union Executive Vice President, “Our Board of Directors and leaders believe now is the opportune time to build a new branch in Plover to serve our growing membership. Our current Stevens Point branch serves thousands of member-owners every month as more and more members in Portage County are trusting CoVantage with their deposits, loans, and other financial needs. We’re so grateful to provide this new conveniently-located branch in the growing community of Plover.”

CoVantage has purchased land at the corner of Post and Plover Road in the Village of Plover. In late fall, construction will begin on a new 3,000-square foot branch that will feature a modern design. This office will offer a combination of digital, self-service, and personal interactions with staff to ensure members are served in an efficient and friendly manner. The new Plover branch will have staff available to assist members with vehicle loans, mortgages, business loans, and deposit accounts. The branch will also offer Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) both inside and outside under a drive-up canopy to provide fast, convenient service. The ITMs will allow members to interact with live, local tellers using video technology, where they can complete a wide range of services like cashing checks, making loans payments, transferring funds, depositing money, and getting cash.

Lee said, “This investment continues our commitment to members who live and work in Central Wisconsin. We opened a branch in Stevens Point in 2014 and are excited that in six short years our membership has grown to need a second office in Portage County. We look forward to getting started in building this new facility and are thankful to our member-owners for making this opportunity possible.

Without our members’ support, and continued reliance on CoVantage for their loan and deposit services, our credit union would not be the strong financial cooperative we are today.”

CoVantage Credit Union has $2.6 billion in assets and serves over 130,000 members across all their locations, including branches in Rothchild, Weston, Rib Mountain and Wausau. Founded in 1953, the financial cooperative serves members living or working in 18 counties in Wisconsin and three counties in the U.P. of Michigan.
