Stevens Point prepares for spring elections

STEVENS POINT – An election will be held in the City of Stevens Point on April 5, 2022 to elect Alderpersons. The term is two years and begins on April 19. The First District Alderperson race is to fulfill the remaining year of that two-year term.
Offices, Incumbents, and New Terms:
-Alderperson, First District – Marc Christianson, 04/19/2022 – 04/17/2023
-Alderperson, Second District – David Shorr, 04/19/2022 – 04/15/2024
-Alderperson, Fourth District – Mykeerah Zarazua, 04/19/2022 – 04/15/2024
-Alderperson, Sixth District – Jeremy Slowinski, 04/19/2022 – 04/15/2024
-Alderperson, Eighth District – Thomas Leek, 04/19/2022 – 04/15/2024
-Alderperson, Tenth District – Keely Fishler, 04/19/2022 – 04/15/2024

The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2021, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in the office of the City Clerk.
If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID, you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
