Truckers for Tots in full swing
For the Gazette
PORTAGE COUNTY – Mid-State Truck Service kicks off their 13th year of supporting the Toys for Tots program with Truckers for Tots.
Mid-State Truck Service started Truckers for Tots 13 years ago to support the Toys for Tots mission of alleviating some financial stress of the holidays while making sure children have something to open on Christmas morning.
Along with their campaign sponsors: Roehl Transport, Furniture and ApplianceMart, International Trucks, Idealease of Central Wisconsin, Cummins and Purple Mountain Solutions, Jerry Fahrner- Farhner
Asphalt and Bullheads Campground; Mid-State Truck Service aims to ensure everyone has a wonderful holiday.
2021 has brought on some unfortunate situations for many local families. That’s why the Truckers for Tots campaign is on a mission to exceed last year’s donation of more than $50,000 worth of new toys to the local communities that they serve. 100% of the money raised goes to shop for toys to help bring a smile to a child’s face on Christmas morning.
Fleet Farm will once again be the retailer for each shopping event which will take place at 5 different locations over the next few weeks.
Dec. 6– Wausau, 4:00 p.m.
Dec. 7 – Chippewa, 4:00 p.m.
At each shopping event, the participating employee volunteers and community members will overflow their carts with toys which will then be loaded into a semi-trailer and brought to the local Toys for Tots distribution center.
Mid-State Truck Service would like to thank the Truckers for Tots campaign sponsors, donors and members of the communities they serve for continuing to show their generosity and commitment to their community.
