KANSAS CITY, MO – UW-Stevens Point’s Kati Frierdich (Neenah) was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region IX third team, the organization announced on Nov. 29.
The honor adds to a litany the Neenah native has already earned this season. She was an All-WIAC first team selection this season, the second time she earned the distinction in her career. She also picked up CoSIDA Academic All-District honors this season.
Frierdich nabs her second career all-region laurel with Monday’s nod. She was a second-team selection in 2019.
This season, Frierdich led the Pointers with 11 goals, one shy of the conference leaders in the category. Her 11 goals marked the first time a UWSP soccer player scored double-figures in goals since the 2012 season.
Three of her goals were game-winners.
She added two assists on the year for 24 points. Frierdich scored two goals in a match four times during the 2021 season.
In just two seasons on the pitch, Frierdich has totaled 18 goals and four assists with five career game-winning goals.
