Men’s hockey scores three in the second, ties CUW

STEVENS POINT – The No. 13 UW-Stevens Point men’s hockey team (6-3-1) erased a two-goal deficit with three in the second period, but settled for a 3-3 tie against visiting Concordia (Wis.) (1-6-2).
The Falcons scored twice in succession late in the first period with goals just 23 seconds apart.
Jordan Fader (Rice Lake) began the Pointers’ comeback with a tally at 5:30 of the second period. Noah Finstrom (New Baltimore, MI) and Fletcher Anderson (Thunder Bay, ON) got assists on the play.
Thirty-six second later, Cody Moline (North Branch, MN) pulled UWSP even. Brady Smith (Bloomington, IL) and Carter Roo (Champlin, MN) nabbed assists.
At 10:06 of the second, Finstrom put the Pointers in front with a shorthanded goal. Fader picked up his second point of the night with an assist.
Eli Billing (Windsor, ON) made 30 saves for the Pointers. CUW goaltender Bo Didur had 45 saves.
