UWSP named a top 10 best value college in Wisconsin

STEVENS POINT – UW-Stevens Point has made the top 10 best value colleges in Wisconsin according to SmartAsset, a company centered around financial analysis.
The university sits at number 10, coming below UW-Oshkosh at number nine.
UW-Stevens Point students receive an average starting salary of $46,500 upon graduation, with an average tuition of $8,239; coming in below UW-Oshkosh with an average starting salary of $49,200 with an average tuition of $7,621.
The average student living costs come in cheaper than all schools on the list except for three. Students can expect to pay around $10,830 while attending UW-Stevens Point, rather than $8,407 at UW-La Cross and $9,912 at UW-River Falls. UW-Menomin comes in close with an average living cost of $10,516.
The average student retention rate for UW-Stevens Point sits at 75 percent, 20 percent lower than the highest rate, coming in at 95 percent at UW-Madison.
UW-Stevens Point has a college education value index of 44.67, roughly two points behind UW-Oshkosh at 46.05 and five points behind UW-River Falls at 49.58.
