Plover local named senior director of transportation and mobility for Easterseals

STEVENS POINT – Carrie Diamond, Plover, has been named Senior Director of Transportation and Mobility for Easterseals, Inc. In this position, she serves as Co-Director of the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC), a national technical assistance center based in Washington, DC and funded by the US Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration. She leads a staff of transportation professionals in promoting the availability and accessibility of transportation options to meet the needs of people with disabilities, older adults, caregivers and communities across the United States. NADTC’s work serves to support the Americans with Disabilities Act and its implementation.
Diamond is certified as an ADA Coordinator, receiving her ACTCP Credential from the University of Missouri College of Human and Environmental Sciences. She is also certified as an Information and Referral/Assistance Specialist in Aging and Disabilities through the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems.

Previously, Carrie Diamond served as an Older Americans Act Consultant/Transportation & Volunteerism Specialist for the Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources, Inc. covering 70 Wisconsin counties and 11 Native American Tribes. She also served as the Transportation and Adult Day Center Director for the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Portage County
