Farmshed to host several FoodWIse Workshops

For the City Times
PORTAGE COUNTY – Central Rivers Farmshed will be hosting a series of five FoodWIse workshops with the goal of supporting healthy eating habits, active lifestyles and healthy community environments for families with limited income through nutritional education. All FoodWIse workshops are free to participants and will feature a hands-on recipe tutorial related to the topic. The workshops will guide participants to make healthy choices that are easy and affordable.

Upcoming Workshops Include:

-April 14, 5-6:30 p.m., Setting the Stage for Healthy Choices

-April 28, 5-6:30 p.m., What is on a Healthy Plate?

-May 12, 5-6:30 p.m., Whole Foods vs. Processed

-May 26, 5-6:30 p.m.. Understanding Labels and Ingredients

-June 9, 5-6:30 p.m., Smart Strategies for Shopping and Cooking

The workshops will be held at Central Rivers Farmshed in Stevens Point, 1220 Briggs Crt. Advanced registration is required, please call 715.544.6154 to register.
