SPPD names chief of police and assistant

STEVENS POINT – The Stevens Point Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Assistant Chief Bob Kussow to Chief of Police and Lieutenant Dana Williams to Assistant Chief of Police. This promotion will take effect with a swearing in ceremony on May 3.
Kussow is a 24 year veteran with SPPD, who started his career in August of 1998 . Kussow has held numerous positions within the department, to include: patrol officer, school resource officer, patrol supervisor, sensitive crimes detective, operations sergeant, lieutenant of the investigative bureau and currently, assistant chief.
Williams is a 25 year veteran with SPPD, who started her career in April of 1997. Williams has held numerous positions within the department to include: patrol officer, community police officer, school resource officer, patrol supervisor, computer forensics detective, lead detective, admin. lieutenant and currently, the lieutenant of the investigation bureau.
