Matt Glodowski

By Jacob Heid

AMHERST — Matt is an incoming senior and is a three-sport athlete who plays football, basketball, and baseball.

Is there a nickname that everyone calls you?

“I get called “gonzo” because my football coach accidentally called me my brother’s name and he said “Glodowski” was too long. So somehow he got gonzo, and the rest of the team picked it up.”

Out of all the sports that you have played, which one is your favorite?

“I have grown to like all of them, but if I had to choose it’d be basketball because of the pace of the game. This year playing quarterback could change that though.”

What are you most looking forward to in your senior year?

“I look forward to being the older guy on the team and in the hallways.”

What is your go-to snack?

“My go-to snack is definitely butter popcorn with cheddar seasoning.”

Favorite TV show?

“My favorite TV show would be friends. I watched the entire series when it was on Netflix and it was so funny.”

Do you enjoy a night out in a big city or a small town?

“Big city because there are so many more options on what to do.”

Where is your favorite place to vacation?

“Florida for the warm weather and the beaches.”

Give two goals that you have for your senior sports season.

“Two goals I have are to make first-team all-conference in football, basketball, and baseball. And to make the 1000 point club in basketball.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?

“I could see myself playing baseball or football in college. It’d be one hard decision to pick between them.”

Where do you see yourself in five years?

“I see myself starting to wrap up college and attempting to find a job while still having fun with friends and family.”
