For the Gazette

PORTAGE COUNTY – Lane and ramp closures at the I-39/County B interchange in the village of Plover in Portage County is anticipated to result in intermittent traffic backups over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Drivers can expect lane closures in each direction at the I-39/County B interchange, with one lane northbound and one lane southbound and a reduced speed limit of 55 mph. In addition, the southbound on-ramp from County B to I-39 will be closed from 10 a.m. until Sept. 5 at 6 p.m.

“Motorists should be prepared for delays and watch for slow or stopped traffic. Motorists are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes and to pay attention to message boards in the area,” a DOT release stated.
