Stevens Point Gazette Senior Spotlight: Raegen Omernik, Almond-Bancroft basketball

ALMOND — The Stevens Point Gazette senior spotlight focuses on area senior athletes from SPASH, Pacelli, Rosholt, Amherst, and Almond-Bancroft high schools. The second installment of the winter sports season focuses on multi-sport athlete Raegen Omernik of Almond-Bancroft. She plays volleyball, basketball, and softball. 

What is a nickname that everyone calls you?

“I either go by Raegen or Rae.” 

What is your favorite thing to do around the holidays?

“I love wrapping presents and decorating our Christmas tree close to the holidays.”

Do you have a favorite high school sports memory? 

“My favorite memory was when we beat Pacelli, making us conference champions for our 2022 softball season.” 

What is your go-to snack food?

“My go-to snack is either mac n cheese or cereal.”

Where is your favorite place to visit in Wisconsin?

“I like to visit the big cities in Wisconsin, like Madison or Milwaukee. There are lots of things to do and explore there.”

Beach vacation or scenic vacation spot?

“I prefer a more scenic vacation spot. I’ve been to a lot of beaches.”

Favorite comfort food?

“My favorite comfort food is ice cream!”

Do you have a set major you want to enter?

“I’m not entirely set on a major, but I might go into business, focusing on fashion marketing.”
