“This is a larger than normal induction class, due in part to a three-year gap in inductions because of COVID, but largely due to the sheer volume of incredible athletic achievements by our former athletes,” a SPASH release stated.

“SPASH currently has over 40 team state championships, along with over 70 individual state champions. Furthermore, SPASH has had incredible success in placing individuals on all-state teams while also winning numerous player of the year awards, and many of our athletes have achieved high levels of success in multiple sports.

“We have also had a significant number of SPASH athletes compete at the professional and Olympic levels with alumni currently on rosters in the NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL.

“SPASH truly is a special place to be an athlete. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is a time to celebrate the unique history and outstanding accomplishments of SPASH athletics.”

Honorees will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on April 15 at SentryWorld Atrium, with a social at 5:3 p.m. and the ceremony at 7 p.m.

“The SPASH Hall of Fame Commission is looking for your help as well.  They are looking for any information people can share as far as pictures, action photos, contact information for those individuals and teams from the 1949-1955 teams and individuals listed above,” the release added.

For tickets, or if you have information or insight on honorees, contact the SPASH Athletic office at 715-345-7307 or [email protected].
