AMHERST – Tyler is a four-year player on the varsity basketball team, starring as one of the best shooters on the floor. Soulsby is averaging just shy of 19 points per game this season. He is looking for a first-team all-conference selection to wrap up his career after being a second-team all-conference player as a junior. Soulsby is also in striking distance of the 1,000-point mark in his varsity career.

How has the season been so far?
“The season has been a flash so far, especially without being able to play the first bit of the season. It doesn’t seem like it should be halfway done,” he said. “It has been very fun playing with my guys and coming together all knowing it is our last year.”

Is there a goal you want to meet by the end of the season?
“I think our goal is to win these last games and to try and make a push for the end of the season.”

What is your favorite movie genre?
“My favorite movie genre would be crime action,” he said. “I like movies like Jack Reacher or Jack Ryan because they always lead you on, and you keep watching.”

Do you have any college interest in basketball or baseball?
“I have some college interest in basketball and very little interest in baseball.”

If money wasn’t a thing, where is your dream vacation destination?
“If money was not a thing, I think I would definitely go to a big house in Bora Bora because the water is so clear there.”

Do you prefer XBOX or PlayStation?
“I prefer PlayStation every day of the week,” he said. “The stick layout and the buttons just make much more sense where they are on a PS4.”

You’ve had a game or two in the ’30s this year. What is your career high?
“My career high is 34 points against Manawa (this season).”

What is your favorite restaurant? A favorite meal at that restaurant?
“My favorite restaurant is probably Dairy Queen,” he stated. “I always get a 6 piece chicken tenders basket and fries with a chocolate-dipped ice cream cone.”
