With an even 18 goals and 18 assists, Eli Robinson was one of three players on the Pacelli co-op team with 30-plus points on the season.

Stevens Point Pacelli finished the season above .500 due to their strong senior presence.

Coach Cory Blake said he can’t speak highly enough of Robinson’s work on and off the ice, calling him a true leader and team player. Here is more on the senior captain.

When did you begin playing hockey?

“I first did learn to skate at the K.B. Willett when I was four. From there, I did an intro to hockey at Ice Hawks Arena when I was five years old.”

Talk about how this season is going. How’s the team doing, and how are you doing personally?

“We’ve had a pretty decent season this year. Our regular season record was 13-11. We’ve had our ups and downs as a team, but we’ve gotten through it together. Personally, I’m proud of the team. I thought we all represented Pacelli hockey well this year.”

Wisconsin doesn’t have an NHL team. Which team is your favorite?

“My favorite team is the Montreal Canadiens because Cole Caufield plays there. My next favorite team would be wherever he goes if he happens to get traded. My family is good friends with the Caufield’s, so I’ve always been a big fan. If his brother, Brock, ends up in the NHL, I’ll have two favorite teams.”

What’s been your biggest achievement/ proudest moment from sports in your life?

“The biggest sports achievement in my life would be when our PeeWee team won the state tournament on our home rink. I’ve had a lot of great experiences playing for 14 years. I’ll never forget all of the friendships I’ve made throughout those years. It was also special because my dad was my coach for all those years, so I had a great relationship with him through hockey.”

What is your favorite restaurant? What do you usually get there?

“My favorite restaurant is Buffalo Wild Wings, only because our team goes there a lot after practices or games. We’ve had a lot of good memories there as a team. My go-to there is Boneless Honey BBQ wings.”

Do you have a favorite concert you’ve been to? Is there someone you want to see?

“I have never been to a concert. If I could choose one, I would see Zac Brown Band. I’ve always been a fan of their music, and I think it would be pretty cool to see them live.”

What are your plans for college?

“I’m planning on going into the trades. I’m not sure which trade yet, so I’m planning on doing some job shadowing to learn more. My guess is that I’ll end up at a tech school at some point.”

Where is your dream location to live when you’re out of school?

“I would like to live out in the country somewhere. A place where I can have a lot of land, some animals, a UTV and a snowmobile to mess around with when I have some free time.”

Are there any good TV shows or movies you’ve seen recently?

“Nothing recently. My favorite shows are Stranger Things and Ted Lasso. The best movie ever is Miracle. It’s a great hockey movie, and I’ve watched it about 100 times.”
