School board, mayor candidates move on to April 4 ballot

STEVENS POINT – On Feb. 21, Stevens Point Area Public School District voters narrowed the field of seven candidates to six for the three available seats on the board.

All candidates will now move on to the April 4 election, with the exception of Colin Kobishop.

Results

Ted Kowalski – 3,451

Alex Sommer – 3,712

Colin Kobishop – 1,313

Chris Scott – 3,628

Gee Pope – 4,179

Bob Larson – 2,405

Miguel Campos – 3,641

Stevens Point mayor race

In the race for Stevens Point mayor, Craig Tesch was eliminated from the April 4 ballot from a field of three candidates.

Results

Craig Tesch – 929

Melessa Johnson – 1,366

Mike Wiza – 2,276

Write-ins – 17

Results are unofficial until a full canvassing has been completed.
