Barbara Ann Nitka, age 76, of Plover, entered eternal life after a two- year courageous battle with cancer on March 2, 2023. She passed away 45 minutes before her mother and they went hand in hand through the Pearly Gates together. She was the first born out of 15 children on November 29, 1946 to Harry and Bernice Nitka. Barbara attended local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1964. Barb was poppy queen in 8th grade for the American Legion. After high school she worked at Normington’s Dry Cleaning, River Pines, and Cozy Kitchen.

Barb’s pride and joy was her son Cris and her granddaughter Novah. She loved going shopping and to yard sales with her mother, casinos, walking, enjoying the sunshine, her dogs, a doll collection with over 1000 dolls, and her idol Elvis Presley.

She is survived by her son Cris and granddaughter Novah, sisters Colleen Kluck, Cheryl (Bill) Jakusz, Jackie (Gary) Zdroik, Lottie Klish, Becki (Dean) Bubolz, Tami (Fred) Rzentkowski, brothers Jim (Garolyn) and Barbie (Bob), and many nieces and nephews.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Bev, Bonita, and Laurie, brothers Ken, Tommy, and Jeff, brothers-in-law Dan Kluck and Ken Klish.

We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers Joan, Joy, Patti, Heather, and Liz for their compassionate care for Barb and Promedica Hospice, Inclusa, and Dixie Griesbach for all they have done for Barb.

Per Barb’s wishes a private service will be held. For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
