Nicolet National Bank Senior Spotlight: Lily Lorbiecki, Rosholt basketball

Lily Lorbiecki is a three-sport athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball and track and field.
With Lorbiecki wrapped up with the fall and winter seasons, the senior discus thrower has her eyes set on spring.
Here is more on the experienced senior athlete.
Can you talk about what sports you play and how long you’ve been playing each of them?
“I have played volleyball for six years, basketball for nine years and I have done track and field for seven years.”
How do you balance your schedule to participate in all three?
“I prioritize homework and manage my time wisely so I can focus on both education and sports.”
If you had to pick a favorite sport, which would it be and why?
“I would choose volleyball because of the team aspect. I just really love the sports, and being able to play them with friends.”
What’s been your favorite moment of your high school career?
“It would be winning against Tri-County in three sets for volleyball and sharing the conference title.”
You guys hung in there with Pacelli in the playoffs until the very end. What were the emotions afterward?
“I was sad, but I was very happy with all the accomplishments I achieved over the years. I was so proud of all my teammates, and I will never forget the experiences we shared together.”
What are you most looking forward to in the spring sports season?
“I’m looking forward to throwing discus and setting my goal to go to state.”
What are your plans for college?
“To attend North Central Technical College to become a radiology technician.”
Do you have any pets or siblings?
“I have a goldfish, two older sisters and a twin brother.”
What would be your dream vacation?
“I want to visit somewhere in Hawaii.”
