STEVENS POINT – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball schedule for the 2023 season is set and the Pointers strive for a fourth-consecutive NCAA Tournament run.

UW-Stevens Point will have nine home dates in 2023, containing nine other NCAA Tournament participants from last season.

The Pointers begin the season with matchups against two NCAA Tournament participants at the Christopher Newport Tournament on Sept. 1 in Virginia.

UW-Stevens Point opens the season against Randolph-Macon before facing host Christopher Newport, a regional finalist last season. The weekend concludes against Muskingum.

UW-Stevens Point’s 10-match road swing continues on Sept. 6 at the WIAC/MWC Quad.

The Pointers then travel to the Illinois Wesleyan Tournament for three matches on Sept. 8 and 9 vs. Concordia, Mount St. Joseph and host Illinois Wesleyan.

The road swing concludes on Sept. 15 with a pair of matches at the Carthage tri vs. DePauw and Carthage.

The home opener will also be the conference opener, as UW-Stevens Point welcomes UW-River Falls to Berg Gym on Sept. 20 at 7:00 p.m.

The four-match homestand continues as UW-Stevens Point hosts the Pointers Invitational on Sept. 22 and 23, including a match against Aurora, an NCAA Tournament team a year ago, on Sept. 23.

UW-Stevens Point’s first road conference match is at UW-Oshkosh on Sept. 26.

The Pointers then travel to Minnesota to face Augsburg on Sept. 30.

October begins with the Pointers playing back-to-back home matches against St. Catherine (Oct. 3) and UW-La Crosse (Oct. 6).

Three away matches precede the final homestand of the season.

Homecoming week sees the Pointers host Edgewood on Oct. 17 to kick off a five-match homestand.

UW-Platteville is in town on Homecoming Friday, Oct. 20, for a 7:00 p.m. match.

The Pointers will host a four-match event on Homecoming Saturday featuring matches against Cornell and North Park, both NCAA Tournament teams in 2022.

The final home match of the season is on Oct. 25 as the Pointers play UW-Whitewater at 7:00 p.m.

The regular season concludes with five away matches, two in Illinois against Wheaton and Elmhurst, one in Eau Claire and two in Minnesota vs. Saint Benedict and St. Olaf.
