FOR THE GAZETTE

STEVENS POINT — YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow is a summer camp in Amherst Junction, which offers a variety of traditional Resident Overnight Camps, Day Camps and Adventure Trips for youth ages 7-17. In addition, older youth can be part of Leaders in Training or Counselors in Training to improve leadership and social skills and develop into successful, confident leaders. Dedicated to providing a safe, fun and outdoor environment, Y Camp is a place where youth learn about the environment, practice new skills like archery, kayaking, and fishing, develop positive values, have fun and make friends.

YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow is nestled just 14 miles east of Stevens Point in central Wisconsin on Lake Elaine. Outdoor recreation and environmental education-based programs are also available to school and retreat groups May through September. Small day groups are also welcome during winter months.

The YMCA is dedicated to providing a safe, fun and small group environment, which develops the spirit, mind and body of each individual. Camp is a special place where youth and teens learn about the environment, develop positive values, make meaningful friendships, learn new skills and increase self-confidence. In our community of caring adults YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow helps kids grow and find themselves.

Registration is available for Resident Overnight Camps, Day Camps, Adventure Trips, Leaders in Training (LITs), and Counselors in Training (CITs). Financial assistance is available, and applications are handled confidentially and discreetly. For youth ages 5-7, the Y offers Summer Vacation at the Stevens Point Area YMCA.

Help your child “Find Their Spark” this summer with an amazing summer camp experience close to home. More information is available at www.spymca.org/camp or by emailing Daniel Trader, Camp & Teen Director at [email protected]. To work at camp this summer, visit www.spymca.org/jobs.
