Final property tax installment due July 31

STEVENS POINT — Portage County Treasurer, Pam Przybelski, reminds Portage County taxpayers that the final installment for their 2022 property tax is due July 31.
If your property is in the city of Stevens Point and you are paying 2022 property taxes, you must pay the City of Stevens Point Comptroller/Treasurer. If your property is in any other municipality, make your payment to the Portage County Treasurer.
Portage County payment options: Mail your check or money order to the Portage County Treasurer at 1516 Church Street, Stevens Point, WI 54481. If you would like a receipt mailed to you, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Make sure that your mail receives a U.S. postmark on or before July 31.
You can still pay at local banks in July. Portage County remains partnered with these local banks for your convenience: Community First Bank (Rosholt); International Bank of Amherst; Pineries Bank (Stevens Point).
Pay in person at the County Treasurer’s Office by check, cash, money order or credit card, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please note that the credit card servicer charges the following: Credit Cards & Master Card Debit Card 2.39 percent one-time flat fee (in addition to your card’s rate), Visa Debit Card $3.95, Electronic Check $1.50.

It is important that property owners meet the July 31 due date. Delinquent July installments are subject to interest and penalty of 1.5 percent per month, retroactive to February 1. (10.5 percent).
