Tatum Maves is one of six seniors on this year’s Amherst varsity volleyball team.
She hopes to have a great final year of high school on and off the court before heading off to college.
Here is more on the Amherst senior:
What is your favorite memory of your time in Amherst athletics?
“My favorite time of Amherst athletics was when the varsity girls basketball team was playing Wrightstown, and I was currently a freshman. I ended up hitting a big three to tie up the game in the second half. We ended up winning the game and it was a huge upset.”
Do you have a nickname that friends or family call you?
“One nickname that my friends and family call me is Taty. There is really no reason why they call me this. It’s close to my name, and it kind of just stuck.”
Do you have a favorite ice cream flavor?
“My favorite ice cream flavor is cookies and cream. I have always had this as a child and still love it to this day.”
You can choose to have an unlimited amount of something. What would it be?
“If I could choose to have unlimited amount of something, I would choose money. Money doesn’t always buy happiness, but it could get me a lot of clothes, food and whatever else I want.”
What is your greatest sporting accomplishment?
“My greatest sporting accomplishment, I would say, is making varsity on all three sports I played throughout high school.”
What are you looking forward to most for senior year?
“I am looking forward to having a fun senior year with all my friends. I also want to end my high school sports career strong with no regrets.”
What are your plans after high school?
“After high school, I plan to go to college for nursing.”
