Pacelli’s Casey Vaughan is another three-sport athlete with aspirations to compete in athletics at the next level.

Vaughan is a team captain on the Pacelli volleyball team and also plays basketball and runs in track and field in the spring.

Vaughan also passed the 1,000 dig mark in her Pacelli career on Oct. 10 vs. Wild Rose

Here is more on the Pacelli senior:

How would you describe your volleyball success at Pacelli?

“I am one of the two captains of the Pacelli team. I was the MVP of the 2022 volleyball season. I’ve been first-team all-conference for volleyball in 2021 and 2022.”

Do you have a nickname that friends or family call you?

“My team has called me Case since freshman year. They wanted to give me a nickname and that one just stuck.”

What are you most excited about with the playoffs right around the corner?

“I think we have a really good chance at going far in playoffs. Our team chemistry is very different this year, and we’ve been able to play very well when we come together.”

You can have an unlimited supply of something. What would it be?

“I would want an unlimited supply of cheese curds. So I could have some whenever I felt like it.”

What are your goals for other sports you play?

“I hope to end my basketball season in a conference win because we’ve been very close each year but unable to do so. I hope to go to state again in track and possibly go run in college.”

What is your favorite season?

“My favorite season is volleyball because the sport makes me the happiest while playing.”

Do you have plans for after high school?

“I would like to play volleyball somewhere. I’m not sure where and what to major in yet.”
